To offer expertise and advise to industry on the availability of equipment and accessories for the safe application of radioisotopes and radiation

To identify and help generate formation of ancillary units for production of necessary equipment for the exploitation of nuclear techniques by industry.

 To arrange seminars, lectures, debates, training programmes, panel discussions, conferences and film shows on current applications and research on the use isotopes and radiation in industry.

To promote and undertake educational research and development programmes in the use of radioisotopes and radiation in the areas of industrial and scientific importance.

To generate and execute all other acts which shall promote the safe application of radioisotopes and radiation in industry for the economic and scientific advancement of our country.
